Outside Sales Support Representative

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & FUNCTIONAL ROLE

This person reports administratively and functionally to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

This position is a fast-paced, detail oriented, and solution-centered role.  Outside salespersons are the core of our company and the driving engine.  A successful candidate will be driven, self-motivated, disciplined, and possess a superior level of technical competency.  Outside sales are expected to be creative problem solvers, using sound fluid power practices to improve existing designs and innovate new solutions for market.

REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

  • Education: Mechanical or Fluid Power Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years fluid power design.
  • Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design concepts and manufacturing processes, organize and execute multiple projects concurrently, utilize and manage outside resources to aid in completion of quotations on time, Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and AutoCAD.
    • Hydraulic Certification, IFPS CFPHS, required within 12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer needs: Compile information from the customer. Evaluate and determine what the customer needs and wants.  Assess system performance and identify areas for improvement/enhancement.  Present products to customers in conjunction best practices.
  • Specify products/Design solutions: Work towards a solution to customer issue(s). Make product selections, suggestions, and recommendations. Evaluate the design parameters for the component or system and engineer systems within customer’s guidelines.
  • Determine costs and create complete proposals: Work with other departments to create and recommend a system proposal and quotes including quote documentation, structured cost breakdowns, drawings, sketches and other supporting engineering documentation, using existing company tools and processes.
  • Service customers via telephone: Resolve customer technical issues.

This person reports administratively and functionally to the Inside Sales Manager.

Inside Sales personnel are the front-line support system for our customers, and in many ways, the face of the company.  They are responsible for actively driving and managing of the sales cycle, processing orders and quotes.  Working in conjunction with the sales team as the technical advisors and product advocates, Inside Sales must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions to meet our customers’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.  Inside Sales is expected establish and maintain strong relationships with our customers, internal and external. Improving brand awareness by exemplifying dependability, impeccable customer responses, and offer solutions through technical expertise in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

  • Education: S. Diploma required, 3+ years fluid power sales or distribution, Mechanical or Fluid Power certification preferred.
  • Experience: Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design concepts.

Part Time -Intern

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & FUNCTIONAL ROLE

This person reports directly to the Fluid Power Engineer. The Drafting/CAD Intern is enthusiastic and will work with moderate supervision on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.

REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

  • Education: Currently pursing a degree in Drafting or Engineering
  • Experience: Moderate experience using 3D software (SolidWorks); 2D software, preferably AutoCAD; 1 year design experience
  • Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Computer knowledge with average to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Products; moderate skills using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; ability to communicate with engineering and shop personnel

  • Under Supervision, model and create production drawings for hydraulic power units, lube systems, valve assemblies, and manifold assemblies using 3D software

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & FUNCTIONAL ROLE

This person reports administratively and functionally to the Director of Sales and Marketing.  This enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, under moderate supervision, will work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role while focusing on expanding the image of the company through advertising, branding, and social media marketing. May act as additional point of contact to the media and other advertising agencies.

REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

  • Education: Currently pursuing a College degree in Marketing/Business preferred.
  • Experience: Moderate event coordination, assist in monitoring/managing media platforms, basic graphic design skills
  • Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of various Social Media networking sites to include Facebook, Google, Instagram and LinkedIn; Digital Marketing (Preferred);
